General Questions About Our Bel Air & Towson Practice
What is Ultimate Health?
Ultimate Health is a complete wellness center with offices in Bel Air and Towson, MD. We combine evidence-based chiropractic care, physical therapy and rehab, soft tissue therapy, and lifestyle coaching to help patients get out of pain, restore movement, and stay healthy for the long term.
Where are your offices located?
Our Bel Air office is at 1035 Emmorton Road, Bel Air, MD 21014, and our Towson office is at 7600 Osler Drive, Suite 411, Towson, MD 21204.
What are your office hours?
The Bel Air office is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Towson office is open Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Both offices are closed on weekends.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can schedule directly with our Bel Air or Towson office without a physician referral. Some insurance plans may have their own referral requirements, so we recommend checking your benefits before your first visit.
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit includes a detailed health history, a discussion of your goals, and a thorough exam that looks at posture, movement, strength, and joint function. Your provider will explain what is causing your symptoms and recommend a personalized plan. You can complete your paperwork ahead of time through our New Patients page.
How long does a typical appointment take?
Initial visits usually take longer because of the exam and consultation. Follow-up visits are typically shorter and focus on treatment such as adjustments, soft tissue work, and rehab exercises.
Do you accept insurance?
We work with many insurance plans. Because coverage varies from plan to plan, please call our Bel Air office at (410) 399-2225 or our Towson office at (443) 275-7620 so our team can help you understand your benefits.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, sports injuries, auto injuries, vertigo, and degenerative disc disease. See our full Conditions Treated page for more.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic care is widely recognized as a safe, conservative approach for many types of musculoskeletal pain when provided by a licensed chiropractor. Every plan at Ultimate Health starts with a thorough exam, and we will refer you to another provider if your symptoms suggest that chiropractic care is not the right fit.
Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
Most patients find adjustments comfortable and often feel relief right away. Mild soreness can occur after the first few visits, similar to how you feel after a new workout. For patients who prefer a lighter touch, we also offer the Activator Method.
What makes Ultimate Health different from other chiropractors?
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all care. Our providers combine adjustments with Active Release Technique, dry needling, laser therapy, and individualized rehab so you understand your problem, correct it, and keep your results. Learn more on our Why Choose Us page.
Do you offer physical therapy?
Yes. Our chiropractors hold physical therapy privileges in Maryland, and our physical therapy and rehab programs focus on restoring strength, stability, and mobility so pain is less likely to return.
Do you treat children and pregnant patients?
Yes. We provide gentle pediatric chiropractic care for kids and teens, as well as prenatal and postnatal chiropractic care to help mothers stay comfortable before and after delivery.
Can you help after a car accident?
Yes. We regularly treat whiplash, neck and back pain, and soft tissue injuries after collisions. Visit our auto injuries and personal injury pages to learn how we help patients recover.
Do you offer spinal decompression?
Yes. Non-surgical spinal decompression is available for patients with disc-related pain, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease who are good candidates after an exam.
Is acupuncture available at both offices?
No. Acupuncture is currently offered only at our Bel Air office. Dry needling, chiropractic care, and rehab are available to patients across our practice.
Do you offer massage therapy?
Yes. Our licensed massage therapist provides deep tissue, sports, and Swedish massage therapy that can be scheduled on its own or as part of your treatment plan.
Can you help me with nutrition and weight goals?
Yes. We offer nutrition coaching and InBody body composition scans so you can track fat, muscle, and water levels and make smart food choices that support your recovery and performance.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can request an appointment online through our Appointments page or call our Bel Air office at (410) 399-2225 or our Towson office at (443) 275-7620.
